By train

In Hamburg there are three railway stations for national and international trains. These are

• Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof (main station, east side of the city)
• Hamburg-Dammtor (west side of the city)
• Hamburg-Altona (closest to DESY)

Following the above link to "Deutsche Bahn" you may get the schedules and are able to print your online-ticket for national trips.
